Vessel Alarm Monitoring, Information and Control Systems

VAMICS is an alarm monitoring and control system for marine projects produced by Jackson Electrical Industries Ltd. It consists of a PLC panel designed and built to fit customer’s requirements, connected to a range of display and monitoring touch screens and SCADA systems as required.

Fuji PLC, Touch Screens and SCADA systems are usually used in the VAMICS package, as it is known for its advanced technology support, simplicity and reliability (as well as because they conform with international standards). However VAMICS is a system designed and built to fit the customer’s requirement in terms of PLC and HMI brand packages and redundancy level required, e.g. introducing standby CPU, Remote IOs, or Loop Link Control system.

VAMICS is designed to work in commercial and private yachts, to monitor and control functions a variety of functions.

Alarm Monitoring

Warning or Alarm pop-up messages are displayed on Touch Screens with information about the incident and it’s location. VAMICS is designed to store many years of alarms history caused during cases of malfunction.

Control

VAMICS can provide lighting control including navigation and exterior lighting systems, hydraulic system control, pumps control and generator load control.

Easy Alarm Troubleshooting

An easy alarm troubleshooting technique can be achieved with VAMICS, accessed from the systems display (through input and output status pages).

Adjustable and User friendly settings

VAMICS provides the user with the freedom of changing or modifying system settings through the systems’s display.

VAMICS can accurately monitor tank level of a non uniform shaped tank, with settings that can be easily configured without prior experience.

Configurability

VAMICS can be expanded to satisfy any future requirements and developments by adding more modules to the existing system.

The core processing system is based on the use of standard products that have certification in accordance with Lloyd’s Register Group.

Remote Access

Modifications and updates needed in the program can easily be done via the modem.

LE-Net (Loop Link)

LE-Net (Loop Link)

LE-net is an original network of Fuji Electric. It is a link system between processors to conduct communication with other nodes connected to the LE-net.

Using the LE-net, broadcast communication and message communication can be conducted.

The LE-net can be connected either as a multi-drop network or a single loop REDUNDANT working network.

If the transmission line is broken, a transmission error occurs in a multi-drop network, but in a loop network, data communication between nodes can continue. This enables construction of a highly reliable system at a relatively low cost.

LonWorks

Internationally noticeable open network for building management. System configuration as a device with distributed autonomous functions is enabled by the control functions incorporated in site devices. Replacement, update, addition, and removal of site devices can easily be performed.

FL-net (OPCN-2)

Open network at the FA application type controller level established by the Manufacturing Science and Technology Centrer and the Japan FA Open Systems Promotion Group. Allows inter-connection with PC, CNC, and robots beyond the frame of a signle manufacturer. The communication physical layer employs Ethernet.

PROFIBUS-DP

Device level open network established by the EN 50170 suits time-critical applications between an automation system and distributed devices (remote I/Os, iverters, etc.)

OPCN-1

Device-level open network established by Japan Electrical Manufacturers Association. Allows connection with PC and robots using the same signal line beyond the frame of a single manufacturer, very effective in open system improvement and optimization.

DeviceNet

Open device-level network which facilitates inter-connection of control equipment such as PCs, personal computers, sensors, and actuators. Wiring cost reduction by minimizing wiring, and multi-vendor equipment connection simplify and economical system configuration.

AS-I

Bit-level network optimum to distribution of the I/O equipment including proximity switches, photoelectric switches, pushbuttons, and intelligent equipment such as ultrasonic sensors.

I/O control with a program capacity of up to 256K steps and up to 8192 points enables system configuration ranging from small through to large scale. 1ms program scan and I/O refresh are possible. Function and performance distribution are possible in multi-CPU system configuration with up to 8 CPUs.

Open Network Oriented

Realizes Integrated Programming Support

Loaders for functional modules and POD, mainly loaders for programmable controllers realized on a personal computer, can be used in an integrated environment. Sharing of variable names (lables) required for each loader, and mutual data reference at the time of programming and debugging, can be performed easily.

Applicable to Software Control

Operates on a personal computer and panel controller, and the functions provide software equivalent to each hardware. Software PLC: Equivalent to the integrated controllers SPH

Servo System WSZ Controller

Servo System WSZ Controller

Saves mounting space, reduces wiring, simplifies control and maximizes performance.

The FUJI WSZ Series controller is a new generation of controller equipped with excellent functions comparable to medium or large controller, with up to three communication ports. The maximum I/O numbers are 256 points for Digital Input (DI) and Digital Output (DO), 64 words for Numeric Input (NI) and Numeric Output (NO). The Main Units of WSZ are available in MC type (High-Performance Type). With the combination of I/O point ranges from 24 to 60, a total of 4 models are available.

One DI/DO and two AI/AO models are available for Expansion Unit/Modules. With interface options in RS232 and RS485, the communication peripherals are available with one board.
